The country is 800km long and 300km deep, with an area of 147,181km² and supports a population of about 27,000 people. There are also private art galleries and a national art gallery called NAFA in Kathmandu which exhibit and sell a variety of modern and traditional paintings. There is a vast selection of dining opportunities to be found in Kathmandu with many restaurants serving authentic Nepali food complete with ethnic ambience as well as a selection of Indian, Chinese, Continental, Japanese, Korean and Thai foods.
